Ankit Shah is Head of Investments and Treasury at QIC Global (fully owned subsidiary of Qatar Insurance Company). In this role, he is responsible for Group Investment Strategy and implementing overall asset allocation of Investment portfolios for the group, ranging from risk mitigation to capital optimised allocation strategies across asset classes as well as complying with regulatory and Solvency II framework. He is also responsible for external managers and liaison with in-house asset manager. Prior to joining the company, Ankit was working with Qatar Insurance Company, Doha, Qatar as Vice President – Investments, overseeing the investment operations and strategic asset allocation across the QIC group. Before this, he was Senior Fund Controller at AXA Investment Managers working on various UK and Pan European real estate funds and Group Financial Controller at UK Capital Investments Group. He trained as an Auditor and worked with Grant Thornton. Ankit Holds a Bachelors in Accounting & Economics and is a Fellow at ACCA and Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

As CIO, Ashish is responsible for defining the investment strategy and delivering the investment performance. Previously, Ashish led the formation of Aviva Investors’ first global research team and before that was Head of Credit Research for Aviva Investors North America.Prior to joining Aviva, Ashish was a Director with UBS Investment Bank in New York and Chicago, and previously was a Senior Ratings Analyst with Crisil (Indian subsidiary of Standard & Poor’s) in India.Ashish is a CFA charterholder and earned his MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University, where he graduated at the top of his class. He is responsible for the Group’s Treasury function and provides Group shareholder direction on asset-liability management, investment and derivatives activity across the business and as CIO of the Group Centre legal entities.David originally joined Aviva in October 2011 as Market Risk Director with responsibility for the oversight of market and liquidity risks across the Group.Before joining Aviva, David was an executive director and head of longevity structuring at J.P. Morgan. During his seven years there, he was responsible for strategic risk management and asset-liability management for corporates and financial institutions.Prior to his role at J.P. Morgan, David worked in risk management advisory roles at two investment banks and a management consultancy. Beata Javorcik is Chief Economist of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London. She is on leave from the University of Oxford, where she is the first woman to hold a Statutory Professorship in Economics. She is also a Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford, a member of the Royal Economic Society’s Executive Committee and a Director of the International Trade Programme at the Centre for Economic Policy Research in London. Before taking up her position at Oxford, she worked at the World Bank in Washington DC, where she focused on research, lending operations and policy advice. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Yale and a B.A. in Economics (Summa cum Laude) from the University of Rochester.

She leads McKinsey’s research on productivity, technology adoption, and government effectiveness, bringing together deep expertise and more than two decades of experience in economics, public policy, innovation, technology, and leadership, as well as ten years of experience as a management consultant focusing on corporate and business-unit strategy. Tera is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences and a frequent author, panellist and speaker on topics ranging from economic and innovation policy to technology adoption and the future of work. She serves as a trustee of the Royal Economic Society, the National Institute of Economic and Social Research, and the United Kingdom’s Productivity Leadership Group. She is also a member of a number of expert advisory groups on economic policy and innovation issues. She was previously on the board of Innovate UK, the United Kingdom’s national innovation agency, and a member of the States of Jersey Fiscal Policy Panel. In 2018, Tera was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to economic policy.
